She watched in silence, but their eyes met.
The second time, she went to visit Scarlett, only to find her in the middle of her heat.
“Are you all right?” She took her hand.
“Not at all.”
This woman was ambitious, capable, strong, and brave.
Melanie was fascinated by her.
She loved those green eyes, and wanted even more to see her own face reflected in them.
