On his first day working as an NPC at an escape room, Xu Congjun is tied up and thrown to the ground by three players.

The players' stares make Xu Congjun's skin crawl. He thinks he's run into criminals.

The leader of the "criminal gang" picks up a knife. "All right, where are the embroidered shoes?"

Aren't the embroidered shoes an item needed to clear the escape room?

Hey, are you in an infinite-flow instance or something, where you can get clues by threatening NPCs?

Well, turns out you can.

After learning that he really is in an infinite-flow instance, Xu Congjun eagerly searches for a way out, until his supervisor slaps a contract down in front of him:

Stop wasting your effort. You've already signed the contract.

Xu Congjun is on the verge of tears. Who knows why his contract somehow turned into one for the infinite-flow world?

Forced to jump into the deep end, Xu Congjun asks: Does signing the wrong contract count as a workplace injury?

Jing Xiuheng keeps running into the same NPC, a walking disaster who causes trouble automatically in every instance. He does all sorts of incomprehensible things, yet somehow always achieves exactly what the instance requires.

Having been unlucky all his life, Jing Xiuheng can't stand watching someone be happily clueless, so he plans to take him down from behind.

But Xu "A Fool's Luck Never Runs Out" Congjun manages to dodge every scheme perfectly, without even realizing it.

Jing Xiuheng, unaware of the truth: Oh no, he's a master! I have to recruit him onto my team!

Xu Congjun, who only knows how to babble happily: Why is he looking at me like that?
