Chi Fengxing has liked Jiang Yuqing for a long time. The two of them have done everything together, lingering in an ambiguous relationship for far too long, yet they have never managed to cross the line into being lovers.
Only Chi Fengxing is deluding herself, imagining that she and Jiang Yuqing are preparing to start a relationship.
And this unhealthy entanglement has gone on for three whole years.
Chi Fengxing dreams of making Jiang Yuqing her girlfriend.
When she finally can't hold back and confesses, the answer she gets is one she can't come to terms with for a long time.
That simple confession triggers Jiang Yuqing's defenses.
“Do we really have to be lovers? Things are good the way they are now. We can do anything, and we don't have to think about anything.”
So confessing was the beginning of a complete collapse.
So all those days and nights had been Chi Fengxing's one-woman show.
Only belatedly does Chi Fengxing realize that Jiang Yuqing sees her as a backup bedmate who can provide unlimited benefits, with no intention of giving her any genuine affection.
Doused with a bucket of cold water, the one who offered her heart resolutely chooses to run away.
She flees to somewhere they will never see each other again.
Every day without Chi Fengxing is agonizing. Jiang Yuqing discovers in despair that she actually can't live without Chi Fengxing at all.
That person has already become a part of her.
Her belated realization turns all her past attempts to keep her distance into the biggest joke of all.
Jiang Yuqing is suffering the consequences badly.
Having finally come to her senses, Jiang Yuqing rushes to the city where Chi Fengxing lives, hoping to change the regretful ending of their past.
But when they meet again, things are more awkward than she imagined.
Chi Fengxing is sitting in her office, thinking she must be seeing a ghost. Can someone tell her why her former almost-girlfriend has become her client?
It's over. Everything's ruined.
Now she can't even run away.

Ji Qu gets drunk and has a reckless one-night stand with her longtime nemesis, someone she's never gotten along with since childhood.
To her surprise, a few days later, the two of them run into each other at a blind date.
Liang Qian is perfectly composed, her eyes sparkling as she says, “My blind date arranged for us to meet at the same place, then didn't show up.”
Ji Qu is so amused she almost laughs. After a few seconds, she still can't help asking, “Why are you here on a blind date?”
Liang Qian shoots back, “What gives you the right to ask me?”
The next time they meet, Liang Qian has become a private tutor for Ji Qu's younger sister.
Ji Qu's mother cheerfully places their hands together. “Liang Qian has graciously agreed to come teach your sister. You two should catch up properly, and don't bicker like you used to.”
Graciously agreed? She must have suffered terribly.
Ji Qu pulls her hand back and puts on a polite smile. “Hello, Ms. Liang. Long time no see.”
“Long time no see.”
As her mother showers Liang Qian with praise, Ji Qu sneers dryly to herself: Mom, she's my ex-girlfriend.
The fact that they'd dated is the biggest secret between Ji Qu and her nemesis.
Class is over, and the house is empty.
Ji Qu and Liang Qian kiss passionately. As their breaths mingle, Ji Qu finally speaks. “Is this part of your lesson plan too? What trick are you playing now?”
Liang Qian wipes her lips. Her expression is unreadable, but she isn't the least bit flustered.
“No tricks. You're my student's parent, and you made a request. I didn't want to refuse.”
After all, you were the one who started this, weren't you?
Ji Qu lowers her eyes, about to argue, but Liang Qian stops her with a breathless murmur. “You're so curious... I'll start thinking you've fallen for me again.”
What a silver tongue.
Ji Qu immediately shuts her mouth.
Her sister moves on to the next level of school, and her parents go abroad on vacation. The sprawling house no longer needs a private tutor.
Liang Qian looks at the luggage piled by the door, her face turning cold. “Are you kicking me out?”
The question strikes a sore spot for Ji Qu. She replies coolly, “Why would I keep a liar by my side?”
She hadn't actually meant to kick Liang Qian out, but now she's been misunderstood. She sighs inwardly, realizing just how much trust is missing between them.
Knowing she's said the wrong thing, Liang Qian can only try another way to please her. In the course of their exchange, she realizes that neither of them can be apart from the other.
They are still destined to be entangled.
She can't suppress her feelings, nor can she bear the torment of their past.
In the end, Ji Qu gives in and warns Liang Qian not to lie again.
If it weren't for that one lie, they never would have ended up in that ridiculous situation.
The lie was hateful, yet it was also what bound them together.
Liang Qian lowers her eyes, looking meek. “I promise I won't lie to you. Let's be honest with each other.”
Ji Qu believes her again.
In exchange, she's willing to be more open, too.

Theme: There are no soulmates by destiny. Pursuing love itself takes the courage and determination to risk everything.
So is Jiang pretending that nothing happened in the past and trying to get Chi accustomed to her existence again? If we get together easily, leaving in the past will seem like a joke.
I am allowed to bite other places [Calico cat head]
You've been avoiding her, wouldn't she be tougher and wait for you to see someone else, then leave her there to send her blessings? [Covering face, laughing and crying]
Although, but, damn it, I feel so uncomfortable when I see Jiang talking like this [covering face, laughing and crying] Explode for me, okay?
You love so deeply~ You love so seriously~
Bai Qihei is here, everyone applauds to welcome the yandere Qing sister (≧w≦)
[Orange Candy] This chapter is so sticky. Can xql be so happy forever? 🤔
In fact, I have really come into contact with avoidant people, and I have also personally experienced a story that has no place to tell. I just clicked in because of this title. In fact, it really could be written a little more cruelly! Avoidant people really can make people have no choice but to completely surrender, but they can't hate the creatures! Deep helplessness!
I rarely leave messages, and mostly read articles silently. In fact, no matter what the writing style is, if you can persist in finishing an article, it is already very impressive. If you really want me to comment seriously, I'm a little scared, so I'm here to cheer you on, thank you for your hard work!
After reading it, come on 💪 💪 💪
