A Reunion in Passing

Ling Feiyang's life was completely changed during that Spring Festival. He had gone to spend the holiday at his aunt's house in a cheerful mood, only to have the news that both his parents had died shatter him in the midst of the warm, festive atmosphere. With no time to prepare, he could only stay in his aunt's city and attend high school there.

But fate had already begun to weave their paths together. When he first arrived at the city's train station, his blood sugar suddenly dropped, and he blacked out and fell. A stranger, Lin Youyan, caught him in time. That was their brief and hurried first encounter.

When school started, Ling Feiyang saw Lin Youyan again in his new class and was momentarily dazed. The world really was small. As if that weren't enough, they were assigned to neighboring single rooms, and running into each other in the hallway became part of their daily routine.

At some point, trying to outdo each other became their unspoken understanding. Their secret rivalry gradually turned them from strangers into opponents who were evenly matched in each other's eyes.

Fate kept nudging them together. After facing setback after setback side by side, their hard shells gradually fell away. They saw each other's vulnerability and determination, became friends instead of rivals, and came to understand each other better than anyone else. Together, they found healing.

Later, the familiarity of spending every day together turned into an unspoken flutter of the heart, and their closeness as they walked side by side blossomed into a love all their own. Gradually, they became the most important and irreplaceable people in each other's hearts.
