Aventurine x Trailblazer Stelle fanfiction spin-off
“Help me out in an emergency. Generous pay.”
An executive at the Interastral Peace Corporation suddenly sent her a message like that out of nowhere, then left her on read.
The words “generous pay” set Stelle’s mind racing. In the end, she learned the story from Topaz:
The company annual gala was coming up, Topaz had been sent away on assignment, and Aventurine urgently needed a reliable female companion to attend with him.
“Tell him I’m definitely the right person for the job!” Stelle replied. “But just how generous is ‘generous’?”
“You’ll have to ask Aventurine himself. He’s always been generous with you,” Topaz replied.
But there’s no such thing as a free lunch, and money isn’t easy to earn at the company.
The gift an executive gave her turned out to be an unstudied, mysterious kind of stellar sand. By incomplete estimates, more than ten researchers had already been affected by it and were now unconscious in treatment pods.
“Is this stuff... valuable?” After watching Stelle casually pick up a fragment of stellar sand with her bare hand, everyone stared in shock and backed away, afraid she might toss it aside without a second thought.
“After discussion, senior management has unanimously decided to hire Miss Stelle to recover the scattered stellar sand fragments. We will assign Mr. Aventurine, director of the Strategic Investment Department, to assist her.”
So said the company employee who came to negotiate, offering a price Stelle could hardly refuse.
“I have one question. Why Aventurine? Does the Strategic Investment Department handle this kind of thing?” Stelle asked.
“I’m just here in name only. Miss Jade approved a year of paid leave for me. I’m only taking this opportunity to travel. After all, with someone as capable as you guarding me, I can feel safe,” Aventurine replied.
And so Stelle, Galaxy Bat Hero, company-hired stellar sand recovery specialist, Mr. Aventurine’s personal bodyguard, and nuclear-powered cutie, set off on her journey.
Of course, Mr. Aventurine covered all their expenses.
