Fu Yanlin, CEO and controlling shareholder of the Yuen Group, was being pressured by his parents to get married, so he approached Chen Yi.
Chen Yi is a second-tier celebrity and an actor. He married Fu Yanlin because of a promise his parents had made as a joke when he was a child.
Chen Yi's family went bankrupt after his uncle schemed against them, and when he was ten, he moved with his parents into a small bungalow. Then, when Chen Yi was twenty-five, the childhood betrothal match unexpectedly showed up at his door.
Fu Yanlin (handing him a marriage application): "Mr. Chen, please marry me."
And so, the incredibly efficient pair went to the civil affairs bureau and registered their marriage that very day.

At first: Friends (Chen Yi: "I suppose..." Fu Yanlin: "Mm." [calmly] Chen Yi: "Mm!" [nodding vigorously]).
Later: "Fu Yanlin, where do you think you're putting your hands?"
"Don't just talk about me. What about you?"
What's it like when two people who are both a little lecherous get together?
Chen Yi: (raises hand) "I'll tell you!"
Fu Yanlin: "Oh? Go ahead."
A cold, sharp-tongued gong who seems a little expressionless vs. a cute, sunny puppy of a shou who gives as good as he gets.
