After Jiang Yi's father dies, he follows his remarried mother to the Su family, where he meets Su Jing. As they spend more and more time together, feelings grow between them, but Su Jing's father is always trying to claim Jiang Yi for himself. He often threatens Su Jing with intimate photos of the two of them. During this time, Su Jing falls for Lu Ran, whom his father sent to drive a wedge between them. Jiang Yi falls into Su Jing's father's hands and is tortured. After escaping, he discovers that Lu Ran has taken his place at university, and that he himself was only a stand-in. Heartbroken, he goes to Singapore. When he returns to China, Su Jing pursues him again, and in the end they rekindle their relationship.
