[A very early work, written before signing. Just for my own enjoyment. I originally wanted to capture the flavor of a modern martial world, but this was the first novel I ever wrote, and, unsurprisingly, it turned out terribly. It's very rough, but I don't plan to give up on the story. I'll unlock it after rewriting it, and there will be bonus chapters.]
Blurb 1:
When Jiang Wei broke up with her five years ago, he was cold as ice: "Don't look for me again."
Five years later, she corners him in a room. His Adam's apple bobs as he says, "You're married. Please behave yourself."
He Qian smiles at his ears, red as if they might bleed. "Pretending we don't know each other? Then why are you trembling?"
Blurb 2:
During the Yongle era, Zheng He's treasure fleet cuts through the vast Western Ocean, carrying the ambitions of the Ming Empire, along with a treasure more precious than antiques and jewels: a treasure map. Over the centuries, the map passes through many hands. Now, by a twist of fate, it has resurfaced. What secrets does it hold, and what connection does it have to the famed Canglan Escort Agency?
1. A proud, fiery heroine × a loyal, hard-working puppy of a hero. Both are pure in body and mind. 1v1.
2. The male lead had his reasons for breaking up with her; the heroine's marriage is a misunderstanding.
3. Dual perspectives, starting with their reunion. Memories are told in flashbacks, with a nonlinear narrative.
Theme: Life goes on
At first I thought it was unremarkable. I was bored on the plane and just watched it. But in the end I found out that it was a very good story and I became a little bit more excited. A sequel to Squatting Cat Fish! I think this pair is so interesting! 🤩
