√ A true-to-life crime investigation chronicle from the urban villages (served with pancakes and cockroaches)
The blood of Hongye District keeps the ants alive as they devour one another at the bottom of the food chain.
Qin Nianzhen spent nine years digging through the anthill, coming away with rusted bones and a pile of old accounts no one claimed.
Then Wang Jingzi barged into his life, becoming the only hot meal he could bring to his lips.
In the moldy smell of a rented room, their shoulders touched.
"What are you after?" Qin Nianzhen asked.
Wang Jingzi watched the smoke rings melt into the other man's silhouette.
"You."
