Couple: The cold, decisive, powerful insect empress Yue Hong x the disgraced, free-spirited fugitive insect queen Tang Juan
Yue Hong, the foremost of the second generation of Divine Chosen Ones, did two things that stunned the Star Alliance after becoming the new chairwoman of the Divine Chosen Association and leading the reformists:
First, she pushed through reforms to the Sentinel-Guide system, threatening the interests of countless powerful families.
Second, she captured Tang Juan, former Divine Chosen No. 09, who had fled after killing his father. He was her nominal fiancé, and the son of the enemy who murdered her mother, Yue Long, the former leader of the Divine Chosen Ones.
Everyone assumed she planned to use his head to mark the start of her campaign.
Tang Juan thought so too, until Yue Hong cornered him in the lounge, grabbed him by the tie, and sneered:
“Kill you? That would be too easy.”
“I brought you back to make you honor our engagement.”
“Killing your father was your proof of loyalty. Running away from our wedding was the mistake you shouldn’t have made.”
“Now it’s time to come home, my queen.”
