From his second to third year of middle school, Akira's eyes remain fixed on Oikawa for two years. Akira realizes that his love for volleyball has not gone out.

He works hard in secret, hoping to play alongside Oikawa and break through the psychological barriers holding him back.

Oikawa notices Akira watching him and unexpectedly witnesses his abilities, bringing the two closer.

As they spend time together, Oikawa is surprised to discover that he and Akira share an extraordinary level of understanding.

Then, in high school, Akira stands on the court for a final in front of a huge crowd, withstands the pressure, and successfully breaks through his limits.

Together, they lead their team to break Shiratorizawa's stranglehold on the national tournament qualification spots and make it onto the national stage.

Two rising stars claim their place in this generation of monsters.

The early part focuses on psychological growth and the first stirrings of romance, with plenty of youthful sweetness and affection.

There will be more sports action in high school, ovo.

The leads dote on each other, and their feelings are mutual~

The inspiration for this story actually came from a very popular quote:

Growing up hurts like having your muscles pulled apart and your bones stripped bare.

"When people talk about your growth, your mother isn't the only one who sheds tears."

There are also the friends who witnessed it all.

The friends are the ones from the original story, and of course, they're also us, who witnessed their journey and love them.

I wanted to focus on growth. I'm a new writer, and maybe my skills aren't up to the task, but I've poured all my love for Haikyuu!! into this. OvO

1. OOC warning. I'll try to keep everyone in character, but each reader has their own image of them, so there will inevitably be differences.

2. This ship is just for fans to enjoy among themselves, so please don't push it on others. Other characters' relationships will follow the original story for now. I'll add a warning to the blurb if that changes.

3. Since this is a derivative work, I assume everyone has read the original, so I won't go into detail about the characters' original relationships.

4. The author has never played volleyball and isn't an expert on the sport. I'll do my best.

5. Sorting out the timeline was a pain, so there are personal headcanons about things like match dates.

6. Competitive sports can be cruel. If you can't accept match results that differ from the original, please keep that in mind.
