Thanks for asking. Does anyone get it? His roommate for the next year, who’s also his team captain, is that jerk Yu Qiu. Two years ago, after Ye deliberately confessed to him, Yu Qiu teased him right back for an entire game, then got the whole internet shipping them!
But that’s not even the most dramatic part.
On his first day at JYY, he heard one of the players mutter that night, “Stupid substitute. How does a scrub like him deserve to be captain?”
He blinked, then sent the guy’s cheek a fist-sized gift package.
You think you can insult Yu Qiu? Who do you think you are?

But things don’t seem quite as bad as he imagined.
The shady owner ran off with the money, leaving the mid and jungle players to make ends meet by streaming together.
But Yu Qiu always looks after his feelings, takes an active interest in his life, and is happy to be his emotional dumping ground. He even plays the good guy and takes all the insults aimed at Ye onto himself...
The fans are all screaming about how adorable they are! Ye is completely clueless, though. Then, by chance, he learns that Yu Qiu is actually JYY’s new owner, and was so broke he had to eat instant noodles just to afford to bring Ye onto the team.
Then he hears Yu Qiu say, “There’s someone I like.”
“The person I like wears black, drags me onto thrilling roller coasters during breaks, is totally oblivious, picky about food, and afraid of ghosts. But I’d be happy to be his emotional dumping ground for the rest of my life.”
The haughty genius only hears half of it. “Huh?”
He slams the table and bristles. “You jerk!
You’re always picking on me!”

At the team dinner before the pro league match, Yu Qiu and Ye leave early and head back to the base.
Ye Yuchen is so drunk he can barely stay conscious. Someone helps him upstairs and lays him on the bed. Just as his awareness begins to fade, he suddenly feels a soft touch on his lips.
Then a slurred, hoarse voice sounds by his ear: “Are you an idiot? The person I like... is you.”
The genius’s face turns bright red, and his eyes fly open.

By the playoffs, JYY has become the league’s biggest dark horse, crushing the seeded teams and kicking his old team to the curb.
After one victory after another, Yu Qiu, who has repeatedly failed, finally decides to be direct. He pulls Ye into an empty locker room in the back and locks the door.
The next second, a storm of kisses leaves Ye unable to breathe. His eyes turn red at the corners as he struggles and curses, “What the hell is wrong with you?!”
This is a damn tournament venue!
But Yu Qiu says, “I know you were pretending to be asleep that night.”
“But I like you anyway.”
“I’ve liked you since the first time we met. Is that so wrong?”

Mu Shuhan is the grade’s universally acknowledged all-round champion, good at every subject.
After transferring into the class, the thing he works hardest at is a whole series of attempts to follow (stalk) Yan Xingyi.
As soon as PE class ends, Yan Xingyi sneaks back into the classroom.
Mu Shuhan: “Did you skip class to play on your phone?”
Yan Xingyi eats alone in a corner of the cafeteria.

The next second, Mu Shuhan is thrown out of the dorm.

Yan Xingyi really can’t take it anymore.
If he keeps getting followed like this, he’ll never be able to sneakily play on his phone in peace!
So one evening during self-study, he leads Mu Shuhan, who’s been following him, to the science building.
Not a single light is on in the whole building. It’s pitch-black.
At a corner, he pins Mu Shuhan against the wall, the other boy right on his heels.
“Are you done being annoying? Why do you keep following me?”
It’s senior year. Shouldn’t he be working hard to prepare for the college entrance exams, instead of following this one-subject wonder and spying on him?
Mu Shuhan seems not to realize that he’s been cornered in a cramped, dark little nook by someone who’s furious. With his usual plain, harmless, curious-boy expression, he answers sincerely, “Because you’re the person I care about most in high school.”
Yan Xingyi immediately relaxes his shoulders.
So he wasn’t after his phone buddy. Phone buddy, you’re safe.
Wait. That’s not right.
Suddenly, Yan Xingyi realizes something is off.
His phone buddy may be out of danger, but it seems like he himself is in a bit of danger now??
