A Reversed Journey Through Music

[Fake Sunshine, Real Darkness Top x Tsundere Bottom]

Qiao Yicang injured his leg while pursuing someone abroad. He thought he would never see that person again, but they reunited on the first day of school.

This guy named Lu Chuanlian looked so familiar. He seemed to be the guitarist who played his original songs, the one Qiao Yicang had chased abroad until he broke his leg.

Qiao Yicang decided to keep his head down for now. He would wait until his leg healed before revealing that he was Lu Chuanlian's biggest fan.

He waited until the art festival. Lu Chuanlian stepped in to help Qiao Yicang out of a jam, then took the stage and revealed his true identity in front of the whole school. That night, he was impossibly handsome.

Qiao Yicang's heart wouldn't stop pounding. Seriously, man, how did I end up falling for him?

Before Lu Chuanlian had even left the stage, Qiao Yicang ran off into the night.

Lu Chuanlian: Seriously, man, I helped you. Why did you run away?

In the end, Qiao Yicang came to terms with his feelings and began a hopeless, secret crush. He often used their status as close friends as an excuse to do things with Lu Chuanlian that went beyond friendship, while Lu Chuanlian remained completely oblivious.

But the good times didn't last. Their parents interfered, and Qiao Yicang's nearby secret crush came to an abrupt end. In the end, he had no choice but to leave the country without telling Lu Chuanlian.

If a secret crush from nearby wasn't going to work, then surely a long-distance one would?

They reunited at a class reunion three years later.

They had once been able to talk about anything, but when they met again, neither could find a word to say.

To break the stalemate that had lasted three years, Lu Chuanlian, as the guitarist in a band, invited the free-spirited Qiao Yicang:

"I asked you three years ago: Would you travel with me to the ends of the earth? You didn't answer me then, so I'm asking you once more. Would you still go with me?"

"..."

Lu Chuanlian clearly remembered that Qiao Yicang still hadn't answered him.

Then his phone chimed. Qiao Yicang had updated his social media, posting a line of text:

Your musical journey is my road back.
