Nekoyashiki Hibiki is currently the most true-to-form and strongest cat in Japan’s cat clan. His mother is a nine-tailed cat from China, and he has a European black cat for an older brother. Oh, you’re asking about his dad? His dad is a soft-hearted nekomata who lives off his mother and follows her around.
One day, his parents came to tell him that his cousin had undergone a return to his ancestral form.
Nekoyashiki Hibiki: What? I have a cousin?
The Japanese cat clan has always had few members. In the old days, plenty of cats married into human families, but very few could transform into cats. In modern times, the cat clan had given up altogether. There were hardly any cats left guarding the clan grounds; most had gone out to become pets, and quite a few had even become internet celebrities.
His father happened to return to the clan grounds and discovered a new light there. After looking into it, he figured the newcomer was probably the son of some extremely distant younger brother of his. But since he still had places to travel with his beloved, he decided to leave the matter to his son.
Nekoyashiki Hibiki spent all day searching with a lantern before finally finding his cousin on a rooftop, on the verge of death as he awakened.
Nekoyashiki Hibiki: Aaaaaaaaaah! My cousin is dying!
A few little tips:
1. Nekoyashiki Hibiki’s given name is just Hibiki, a single word. He takes whatever surname suits the place he’s in. He’s a native Chinese calico cat who became a spirit, so you can imagine his fighting ability.
2. Couple: Jingguang. Jingguang is a calico nekomata, a great beauty among cats.
3. Dad is a native Japanese calico maneki-neko, Mom is a gray-and-white tabby big shot, the older brother is a green-eyed black cat they picked up, and the younger brother is a calico they picked up. The only two in the family who might be blood-related are Dad and his younger son-in-law. XD
Theme: Cats are everyone’s friends.
