Can you fall in love with someone by reading their diary?
In autumn, Tao Ying got her hands on a thick diary.
Its owner had passed away. He was a seventeen-year-old boy, and his mother couldn't bear to read the entries closely. She asked Tao Ying to sort through the manuscript and compile it for publication.
Tao Ying took on the task and carefully opened the diary, gradually getting to know the boy named Shen Wei.
In the final days of his life, Shen Wei traveled to many places and fulfilled dreams that had once seemed out of reach, including chasing the aurora on the other side of the world.
But in the end, he couldn't make it through the end of summer. Though his physical pain grew worse and worse, he kept writing, doing his best to leave a mark on this world.
On the last page, Shen Wei wrote:
"Holding a funeral in autumn really isn't a good idea. You can't even play in the snow."
"But it's not like I had a choice."
