Shi Yi's new direct supervisor, Ling Qi, is tall and beautiful. Her one flaw is that her face is so cold, like a massive glacier in a frozen wasteland that has never thawed. Shi Yi has never once seen her smile.
So Shi Yi decides she must have a permanently blank expression.
During one encounter, the two brush against each other. Her supervisor instantly recoils as if she's seen a ghost.
Shi Yi: ???
So Shi Yi decides her supervisor must also be a germaphobe.
Overexcited after work, Shi Yi falls to the ground. When she gets back up, she discovers she's turned into a cat!
Covered in mud, she comes face-to-face with her blank-faced, germaphobe supervisor. Afraid she'll get kicked away, she runs off on her own... and sprains two of her four legs.
Shi Yi: My little boat has just crashed into an iceberg.
Wait! Wait! Wait!
Her supervisor actually pets her head, takes her to the animal hospital, and brings her home.
Wasn't she expressionless? Wasn't she a germaphobe?
After that, Shi Yi spends her days working for her supervisor and her nights being her cat.
During the day, her supervisor is fierce:
"This proposal won't work. Go back and redo it."
"This needs improvement."
"The cost-effectiveness is too low."
At night, her supervisor is all teary-eyed:
"I don't want to go out again..."
"They were so close to me today. I was so scared..."
"I wish I could become a cat too, and get away from here..."
Shi Yi listens to her supervisor talk about how much she hates everyone, but why does she look so pitiful?
Unable to speak, little cat Shi Yi replies: Meow~
Meaning: If you turned into a cat, I'd give you an enthusiastic scritching.
