Lan Daiya wakes up one day with amnesia.
After asking around, she learns that the continent was once plagued by pollution, but the two gods of Light and Darkness long ago sealed it in the Abyss. Only their subordinate false gods and followers, still unwilling to give up, are running around, but they can't cause any real trouble.
The good news: She's the Saintess of Light, the gods' representative, with countless followers.
The bad news: She discovers that her true identity is an impostor sent by a false god. She was posing as the Saintess to break the seal and unleash the pollution upon the world again.

Lan Daiya doesn't want to be a disposable double agent for the villains, nor does she want the false god to discover her betrayal and sacrifice her whole family.
So she doesn't prepare healing potions. She provokes nonhuman beings and crosses swords with them, and when danger strikes, she doesn't run away. Every time, she charges straight to the front line, courting death.
All so that one day some powerful being will slap her flat. Then she can fake her death and escape the vortex of competing factions.
...But the number of people following her keeps growing.
Crowds praise her abilities, celebrate her deeds, and compose enduring songs and books in her honor, until her name is recorded in the annals of history.
At last, the newly printed history book is delivered to Lan Daiya. She flips through it, closes it, then cautiously asks her companions, "We spent this whole journey picking fights and causing trouble, right?"
Her companions are shocked. "What are you talking about? Didn't we all come together to eradicate the pollution and save the world?"
Lan Daiya falls into thought: ...So my original ambition was that grand?
Reader's Guide:
1. Plot-focused, not a power fantasy.
2. My take on Western fantasy + secret identities + characters misinterpreting the protagonist as a saint + a touch of cosmic horror + a touch of ensemble cast.
3. Haven't decided yet.
4. I drew the cover myself, so please don't be too harsh.
Theme: Your fate is in your own hands.
