The Sword Cultivator Mecha Engineer

Yun Jiyi, hailed as the "greatest sword cultivator," transmigrates to a future interstellar world while undergoing tribulation, becoming an unlucky mech engineer about to be eaten by a starbeast.

This world is overrun with starbeasts that threaten humanity's survival. Only mechs can hold them back, and even then, barely.

A mech engineer without a mech or the protection of a mech pilot can only wait for death.

After watching the original owner's memories, Yun Jiyi says: Mechs? I don't need them.

She raises her hand and brings two fingers together. A streak of snowy-white sword light instantly pierces through the hard-shelled starbeast charging at her!

Sorry, we sword cultivators can do whatever we want.jpg

Lu Xuezhe, a former S-class mech pilot, was injured in a great battle five years ago and forced to retire. She returned to her home on a remote, barren planet.

Her adoptive mother died in service, her closest friend fell in battle, and she herself lost her left eye and right leg. Overnight, she seemed to have lost every reason to keep living.

One day, while leading a team to collect space debris on a nearby desolate planet, Lu Xuezhe spots a young woman fighting a starbeast on equal terms.

The fearless, unconstrained force of her swordsmanship instantly captures Lu Xuezhe's full attention.

After bringing Yun Jiyi home, Lu Xuezhe can't help feeling as if she's taken in a cat.

She eats little, vanishes without a trace, is supple and nimble, and loves taking mechs apart.

But she's incredibly strong.

Once considered a good-for-nothing mech engineer and a disgrace to the entire Mech Academy, she returns from a starbeast tide with a completely changed personality and a terrifying new ability.

With a flick of her fingers, she can conjure countless light swords. With her bare hands, she can easily dismantle even defensive mechs and reduce them to scrap. Her combat ability far exceeds that of the finest mech pilots.

No one can see how she strikes, or how she gathers the invisible, intangible "spiritual energy of heaven and earth" into a sword.

Later, she returns to Imperial Capital Star alongside Lu Xuezhe, the S-class mech pilot who retired years ago, to escort the fleet as it launches an all-out assault on the starbeast tide.

Historians call them "humanity's only hope for the future."
