At 10, you're a prodigy. At 15, you're a genius. Once you're past 20, you're just an ordinary person.*
Koizumi Utaka sounds like a girl's name at first, but physically and mentally, he is an underage boy.
With only four years left before he joins the ranks of ordinary people, Koizumi Utaka has decided to lie flat and get ready to be tempered by society.
[All-Star System: Volleyball Edition]
[Hello, Host. Congratulations on becoming the 8,658th lucky Host in this series. With the help of this System, you will become the brightest volleyball genius.]
Koizumi Utaka's fate took a turn. He might, perhaps, no longer end up as an ordinary office worker, toiling from nine to five?
Koizumi Utaka examined the System carefully and found that it had only one function, but it was incredibly overpowered, practically against the rules.
It increased a person's experience.
It was like instantly filling someone's blank slate with a whole series of volleyball rules, techniques, and even, with enough experience, the ability to predict what would happen next.
New semester, new beginnings.
Full of confidence, Koizumi Utaka took his buff and rushed off to the volleyball club, ready to make a stunning debut.
Then he got crushed.
This can't be right. Wasn't he a genius?
Why had his mind caught on to everything, like he'd unlocked the Transparent World in Demon Slayer, while his body was as sluggish as someone in rehab?
[This System does not support a series of idle daydreams. Host, please keep your feet on the ground, train hard, and build up your strength, yo~]
Koizumi Utaka thought it over. Maybe being a genius wasn't worth it. Being ordinary sounded pretty nice, too.
So...
“Let go of me! Senpais, you can see it too, right? I'm completely hopeless. You're just wasting your time on me. Let me quit the club already.”
The gold-and-silver foxes held on to Koizumi Utaka for dear life.
As if! A future genius is still a genius. Once you're in the fox den, don't even think about leaving!
*Daily-life snippets
After quitting the club, Koizumi Utaka, with his max-level precognition buff, plans to make the school newspaper club his first choice. He can use his skills to film and provide commentary.
But before he quits, he might as well practice on the volleyball club senpais.
After seeing through Miyaji's move again, Koizumi Utaka held a yellow water bottle like a microphone, pretending to be a frontline reporter. Suna Rintaro played along as the cameraman. The two foxes gave their commentary in front of the twins, who were brawling.
“Here we see the silver-haired twin. No, that's not a wig. He's currently straddling his blond-haired twin brother, looking furious. Let's point the camera at them and see what's going on.”
Koizumi Utaka held out the microphone and politely asked, “Silver Hair, why are you straddling your brother in public?”
“Huh? He actually... @&”
Since one of the people involved nearly hit the reporter and the concerned bystanders nearby, unfortunately, the footage from this shoot had to be kept on the cameraman's device.
