[One Piece] I Proposed to My Savior After Nearly Drowning

The icy seawater was about to swallow my consciousness when a burning hand pulled me back to the land of the living.

I opened my eyes, disheveled and miserable, and met a gaze as blue as the sky after a storm.

As if possessed, I blurted out to my savior, "P-Please marry me!"

Laughter erupted aboard the Thousand Sunny, and the blond cook's cigarette fell to the floor.

I thought it was just an embarrassing outburst after nearly drowning.

Until the curse of the "Sea Listener" was torn apart by the cold muzzles of cannons, and a fleet of Marines cornered my friends like steel beasts.

To protect them, I walked toward the cage. Beneath the moonlight, his bloodied hand clutched my wristbone.

My fingertips brushed his bloodstained collar one last time as I whispered an apology. "I can't... marry you anymore."

He said nothing. He tore off his necklace and fastened an old silver ring, stained with blood, around my neck.

Amid the smoke, his voice cut through the sea wind and burned itself into my soul:

"Stay alive."

"Wait for me to come get you."
