An anthology
A disabled gong who goes wild causing trouble and turns his life around once he learns he can't die x a shou who starts out saying, “Who are you? Why should I share my life with you?” and ends up saying, “Thank goodness we share our lives, or I would have lost you.”
--
They were once ambitious and full of aspirations, but in the end, they were harmed by others and left disabled.
Just as they were about to give up...
“I'll give you a chance to link your life to someone else's. If they agree, you can live.”
From then on, the sickly invalids everyone thought were about to die embarked on a path to the top.
[World One: A charming, wealthy young master who lost his inheritance and both legs x a deranged ghost who lives for his spouse]
He was once a famous heir to a wealthy family. But after a sudden upheaval, he not only lost the use of his legs and had his inheritance stolen by his vile stepbrother, his stepfather also arranged a ghost marriage for him as he lay dying. Buried in the ground that day, he was on the verge of suffocating.
Two weeks later, the wealthy young master returned to his family in a wheelchair, accompanied by his formidable “husband.”
Propping his chin on one hand, he drawled lazily, “Come on, it's time you met your new wife's family.”
Cold hands closed around the ankles of his stepbrother and stepfather. They looked down in terror and saw only a skull with bones showing through.
Its jaw moved, clicking as it spoke. “Hello, Father-in-law. Hello, Big Brother...”
[World Two: A gentle, one-armed sword cultivator whose spiritual roots were destroyed and who chose the path of darkness x a demon sword spirit who loves stirring up trouble]
With no parents, he had been despised since childhood. Luckily, his sect took him in, and he repaid them by training hard. But then his fellow disciples betrayed him as one, and even the master he trusted most ripped out his spiritual roots and cut off his right arm. All he could do was wait for death beneath a cliff.
On the day of the sect tournament, the one-armed sword cultivator appeared before everyone, holding a crimson sword. His master asked, trying to sound calm, why he had come.
With bright eyes and a faint smile, he replied, “My sword and I want to kill everyone here.”
As soon as he finished speaking, a red-clad sword spirit flew out of the demonic sword in his hand, shouting excitedly, “Master! Let me go first! Let me go first!”
[World Three: A scheming, low-ranking omega with a disfigured face and damaged gland x a pure-hearted artificial intelligence with its own independent consciousness]
As a low-ranking omega, all he wanted was to marry a decent person and make a little money on the side. But after he merely exchanged a few words with an alpha, someone dragged him into an alley and slashed his face and gland. He collapsed on the ground, barely alive, filled with regret.
A nameless omega with a veil over his face appears at an elite academy. His piloted mech crushes everyone, but when his low-ranking status, disfigured face, and damaged gland are exposed, he is met with contempt.
Tears well in his eyes as he says pitifully, “Honey, those people bullied me. Go get their StarNet accounts all suspended!”
Everyone's mechs shut down and their communicators go black. A line of red text appears on the screens: “Don't bully my baby.”
[World Four: A beloved military strategist blinded in both eyes and thrown to a pack of wolves x a savage prairie king with a murderous nature]
Blurb in progress. Other worlds to be decided.
Note:
1. “Disabled” means the gongs have conditions such as limb disabilities, loss of the senses, or disfigurement.
2. The gong's life is bound to the shou's.
3. The order of the worlds may change.
4. Happy ending.
