Xi Tong has seen many women.
For example:
Madam Lin was betrayed by her sister and her husband, who joined forces against her.
Given a second chance at life, she decided to change her fate and take revenge on her enemies. So she made a major decision:
Find another man!
The devoted man who had loved her in her previous life but never dared to say a word!
Xi Tong frowned: ...?
Miss Jiang gave everything for her family, only to have someone else steal her place, slander and vilify her, and ruin her reputation.
She gathered all the evidence and agonized over how to get revenge. In the end, she found the answer:
Before revealing the truth, she would secretly die somewhere, making everyone who had misunderstood her regret it for the rest of their lives! Let them suffer forever!
Xi Tong was baffled: ...??
And then there was Commandery Princess Li, framed for treason, whose estate was confiscated and who was thrown into prison.
Given another chance, she rode across the battlefield and won countless military honors. When she returned to court, she traded those honors for the title of Crown Princess, along with 300,000 elite soldiers as her dowry.
Xi Tong fell silent.
They all chalked it up to nothing more than a lack of love.
Xi Tong stamped her foot and sighed in frustration:
"No, no, no! You're all wrong!
This isn't a lack of love!"
It's a lack of power!
As it happened, they had a problem, and she had the cure.
Xi Tong waved her hand, and power poured forth.
The women tasted power for the first time. Astonishment showed in their eyes as they finally lifted their heads and looked upon another world, one they could always have seen but had never truly noticed.
Who needs some tragic love affair? I want money! I want power! I want to stand atop the highest peak, where everyone bows before me!
