Blade and Dan Heng perspective:
Blade thinks he must be seeing a ghost.
He stakes the years they've spent together since Dan Heng adopted him, and all he knows about the other, on the certainty that the blue figure who rescued him from danger was none other than the family member he's been giving the cold shoulder for ages.
But when he grabs the two children from Kafka's household who are in Dan Heng's group and asks them, they look at each other, shake their heads in perfect unison, and say together, "Teacher Dan Heng hasn't left the office all day."
Blade: "...So I really did see a ghost?"
Ying Feng perspective:
Ying Xing sometimes thinks Dan Feng is pretty strange.
The High-Cloud Quintet always get together to socialize. But at the last gathering, Dan Feng got so drunk he couldn't even sit up straight, repeatedly leaning against him. So this time, Ying Xing made sure that the stubborn dragon with the poor tolerance for alcohol couldn't get a drop to drink, and reminded him of the dangers of alcohol.
And then he lectured him until he fell asleep.
Even stranger, after the man woke up, he started leaning against him again, just like when he was drunk!
Ying Xing couldn't make sense of it, so he grabbed Jing Yuan, who was trying to sneak away beside him, and questioned him like a man doubting his own sanity. "Jing Yuan, what do you think is going on with Dan Feng?"
Jing Yuan, who saw through everything: "..."
He sighed. "It's what happens when the Ambrosial Arbor blooms."
Warnings:
A non-typical modern AU crossover between Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact. The Genshin Impact stories are: "A Stunning Sight in the Mortal World" [Ruo Zhong, Ruo Tuo and Zhongli pairing] and "Legends of the Northern Wind and Mysterious Flames (working title)" [Tuan Zhi pairing]. Characters from Genshin Impact make cameo appearances in this story, which also contains a small amount of Ruo Zhong and Tuan Zhi content in the extras.
In this story, Feng and Heng have a special way of describing their relationship. They are neither unrelated nor simply blood relatives. The details are closely tied to the plot, so no spoilers. Blade and Ying Xing's relationship is the same.
