Other people transmigrate into superhero worlds: they latch onto powerful allies, get carried to victory, save the universe as heroes, and maybe fall into a sweet romance along the way.
Niaopolidan after transmigrating: Thanks for asking. I'm in Gotham, just walked out the front door, and I have one question:
Isn't this place's definition of "normal" a little warped?!
Looks like she might be the only normal person around.
Her dad is a congressman, her mom a socialite, and she's a pampered young lady. Her parents dote on her, and she's even made a new friend, Jason. A perfect start.
Except the System keeps flashing messages in her mind every day: "Host, we've detected potential for you to become Arkham's next rising star..."
Jason even helpfully warns her that Gotham is full of lunatics and she should be extra careful.
And then her house blows up. Literally.
Just as she gets one mess sorted out, the System tells her Jason is in critical danger.
Can life get any worse?
She doesn't want to be a villain, but an antihero sounds pretty good too. Time to open her Gotham survival guide.
First blow up the courthouse, then send the Joker a one-way ticket to Hell, and help Jason beat up his foster father for revenge. Time to make trouble!
"Risk assessment: 87% chance Batman will intercept you, 99% chance of securing an Arkham bed... System recommendation: Try another universe?"
Niao doesn't want to end up in Arkham...
Timeline: Main Universe - Injustice - Marvel Civil War - Flashpoint Universe - Main Universe (tentative)
Six volumes in total. The first four cover the main story, and the last two take place in other worlds.
There are several branching storylines set in different worlds. Different choices in the same scenario cause the timelines to change, leading to completely different plots, so they can also be read as standalone stories.
Batman: "A child holding a button that could destroy the world, completely unaware, blows up herself and everyone else."
Tim suddenly remembered that he really had met her once, even earlier than that.
The Joker made Niao an offer: "Batman won't help you. Want to go make a big mess with me?"
Damian started a conversation with her: "Since you're from Gotham, what kind of person do you think Batman is?"
Looking at the stranger who somehow felt familiar, Jason voiced the question he'd kept buried in his heart: "Who are you, really?"
Harley: "I like your... hair color, but don't you dare steal my Puddin'."
Stephanie took Niao's hand. "What are you standing around for? Dr. Leslie is waiting for us."
Cassandra and Niao said nothing. They just sat quietly together in the training room.
Wow, you're famous! Everyone is looking for you now. Have you figured out what to do?
Niao glanced at the people across from her. She didn't think becoming public enemy number one was a good thing...
Updates are irregular. If it stops, I've probably hit writer's block.
[Before Reading]
1. The heroine is an antihero: morally flexible, absurdly powerful, beautiful and wild, with a touch of chaotic madness. She'll do whatever it takes to reach her goals. Antihero doesn't mean anti-humanity: she doesn't drag innocent people into it, is harsher with bad people, and is kind to and protects good people.
2. Her relationship with Jason Todd, the Red Hood, is a dark, healing friendship/familial bond, with no romantic shipping. This is not BG, BL, yuri, or selfcest. There are no couples. She'll be physically affectionate with girls quite often.
3. The heroine is an original character created for this fanfic, with a localized backstory. To keep her from feeling too out of character, just think of her as a transmigrator from a parallel universe. There's a lot of focus on her career and original plot. The protagonist's morals are not the author's morals. Don't insult the author for criticizing characters. I just like absurd humor and references. Please don't argue.
4. The first half covers revenge and an origin story related to Batman; the second half focuses on character interactions. The middle is about growth and self-discovery, and the later part has everyone fighting the final boss together, ending happily.
The main story is the only HE ending. All other what-if routes have BE, TE, or fake endings.
5. This is a self-indulgent work. They're such popular characters, so why am I starving for content? ORZ
Theme: Freedom means letting go of attachment to the outcome.
Your update is a lie woooooooooo XX
Will there be any extras for the chick line? Looking forward to a
Very nice little ice cream that left me satisfied. [Three-flowered cat head]
Neo can exert abilities on objects. I don't know much about Mystique, but I have the impression that she can transform herself.
Um? It feels pretty good and interesting. Come on, teacher.
