The Book of the High Court says:
When the Heavenly Dao first manifested, it sent down myriad beams of light, like a gentle rain of jade dew.
Mortals bathed in it and regained the faces of their youth, free from illness and misfortune;
plants and beasts received its grace, and their spiritual senses opened in an instant. They drank the rosy dawn dew in the morning and took human form by night, their cultivation advancing a thousand miles in a single day;
when demons and monsters encountered its radiance, it melted away their sins like snow in boiling water, sending them straight to the Lotus Realm;
when cultivators received it, they ascended to true immortality in an instant, their names recorded in golden books and jade scrolls in the Purple Palace.
At that time, the treasures of the Thirty-Three Heavens shone brilliantly, Buddhist chants echoed throughout the myriad worlds, immortal cranes gathered in the Langyuan gardens, and heavenly dragons coiled around Mount Sumeru. All beings of the Three Realms looked up in reverence at the sacred radiance.
