Shirley found herself a daddy online.
She was a poor student from the mountains: timid, pitiful, honest, empty-headed, and stuck with a miserable life.
The only thing she had going for her was a pretty face.
daddy was domineering and possessive, and his orders allowed no objections. They had never met in person, and the one rule between them was: no cheating.
Shirley immediately swore through her tears that she'd get on her knees if she ever cheated.
Using his connections, experience, and money, he helped Shirley become a top student at school, admired by everyone.
In everyone's eyes, Shirley came from a good family, was well-read and gracious, kind-hearted and gentle, and far too easygoing. No one would ever dream of treating her coldly.
Except Lu Tingze.
Faced with his cold expression, Shirley felt a little aggrieved. How could he look at her like that? She hadn't done anything wrong.
The timid, pitiful Shirley, who never dared to lose her temper, chatted with daddy while thinking about Lu Tingze.
The awful Shirley gave a nasty little click of her tongue and lit a cigarette. She thought it was time to find herself another boyfriend in real life.
Lu Tingze always turned Shirley down calmly, as if he could see through her two-faced act. Only when he was in a good mood would he occasionally give her a warmer look, which only made her more infatuated.
If she started dating him and then dumped him, she probably wouldn't lose out, as long as she kept it hidden from that domineering pervert.
No one would ever find out.
After a while, she began to think Lu Tingze's gaze was growing more and more dangerous.
Finally, at a rare dinner gathering, Shirley won Lu Tingze's favor by shedding pitiful tears. He asked calmly, "Shirley, do you like me?"
In the candlelight, Shirley's cheeks were faintly pink. She nodded shyly.
Lu Tingze was impeccably polite. He smiled as the atmosphere between them grew more intimate, and Shirley basked in her own charm.
He asked her to come closer. The restaurant was one of the Lu family's chain businesses, and he had cleared it out for them. Shirley was pleased with his family background.
They sat face-to-face, drawing closer. Looking at the smiling man, no longer cold, Shirley thought she was clever enough to play two men at once.
Their eyes met for an instant, and Lu Tingze's bright phone screen was held up to her face.
Shirley froze, her whole body going numb.
Lu Tingze's smile vanished. He looked at her and ordered, "Kneel."
On the pale blue screen was her chat with daddy.
And yet the candlelight kept burning...
Reader's Guide:
The male lead is overwhelmingly dominant and the female lead is very submissive. Even when she isn't weak, she pretends to be. She has questionable morals and an unhealthy view of love, which will be corrected later. The male lead is harsh and strict, and absolutely no-nonsense about raising children. This story does not promote entering unhealthy relationships.
If you demand that the female lead be held to strict standards, don't read this. Shirley has dreamed of being a bad girl since childhood.
Both leads are each other's only partners. daddy x puppy. She has a delusion that she is loved; he's a hardcore white knight.
