Why Is There a Dog in the Demon Slayer Corps?

[Only the blurb is in first person. Pairing: Giyu Tomioka x Tianyu Quanzhijie. No secondary pairings.]

I, Tianyu Quanzhijie, am a noble-blooded dog demon with two powerful older brothers.

One day, I encountered a demon and took it out with a single swipe. A taciturn, stern young man happened to see me and invited me to join the Demon Slayer Corps. I thought it might be fun, so I joined.

Then I got three teammates.

The kind boy with a scar on his head is always gentle. Even though he's much younger than I am, he always looks after me like an older brother.

The boy with bright hair is timid, but actually quite reliable. I admire his fighting style: focus on one thing and take it to the pinnacle.

The boy who always wears a boar's head mask tried to challenge me for the position of top dog. I pinned him down with one paw, but accidentally knocked off his mask, revealing a face so beautiful it could make gods and men despair...?

My eldest brother sometimes stands on a nearby rooftop, watching me fight from afar.

No matter where my second brother is, if he smells my blood, he'll come rushing to help me, no matter how far away he is. He also complains that our eldest brother just watches instead of stepping in.

But in truth, just having my eldest brother nearby is enough to scare away plenty of potential threats.

And the young man who invited me to join the Demon Slayer Corps, Giyu Tomioka, rushes to my side every time he hears I'm in trouble, only to find there's no need for him to help. He can't help lowering his head in disappointment.

I smile and reach out to lift his chin. "What's got you down? Just having you in my sight is the biggest help of all."

Giyu Tomioka says expressionlessly, "I'm not down."

After a while, he adds, "I just care about you more than most."

★ Only the blurb is in first person. This is an original story set in an alternate world based on the Demon Slayer setting. Muzan will still be tormented, though (?).

★ Pairing: Giyu Tomioka x Tianyu Quanzhijie. Giyu Tomioka is the top. No secondary pairings.

★ Characters from Inuyasha, Demon Slayer, and The Morose Mononokean will make surprise appearances.
