The apocalypse arrives. Natural disasters sweep across the land, and zombies run rampant.

For Lin Yehou, who has always lived carefree and loved bullying the other kids at the orphanage, this means his little band of followers is gone. It means no one will call him the cutest kid in the orphanage anymore.

Determined to become the center of attention again, the king of all the little brats, able to summon wind and rain and do whatever he wants, Lin Yehou sets out on a journey to make it happen, taking the few followers he has left with him.

For Wei Shanxing, who was cast out in the competition within his family and forced to wander until he ended up scraping by at an orphanage, this is his chance for revenge.

Memories of humiliation taught him to be calm and patient. He was never content to live under someone else's thumb, whether it was his older brother, who always looked down on him and ordered him around, or Lin Yehou, who used his greater cuteness to bully him.

Survivor bases are established, and humanity begins rebuilding its home.

Lin Yehou and Wei Shanxing are both only half-grown little kids. Their guardians have changed again and again, and no one can last a whole month.

One is Lin Yehou, a cute kid who insists on being the center of the family, constantly demanding affection and snacks. If he doesn't get them, he throws a tantrum and sets the house on fire.

The other is Wei Shanxing, who seems obedient and well-behaved on the surface. In reality, he sneaks out late at night and returns with a pile of zombie cores, blood all over his face, and a little flower on his head, utterly cold and aloof.

One day, as the newest guardian nervously stepped into the little house, the two kids were nowhere to be found.

They had run away.

Time passes. Zombies evolve, human society becomes rigidly stratified, and the world is battered and scarred beyond recognition.

The powerless pray to the gods and rally behind the strong. The powerful wield authority and scheme against one another. Intelligent zombies gather in groups, cruel and violent.

A sudden blaze roars to life, burning the ruins to ashes. Vegetation grows wildly across the scorched earth, lush green leaves shielding it from the scorching sun.

Wei Shanxing sits in a tree, idly chewing on an apple as he gazes at the city in the distance.

Only when a young man in red comes hurrying out of the flames does he brush himself off and stand up. It's time to take his revenge.

"Wei Shanxing, I want to change the world!" Lin Yehou shouts. "Let's change the world together!"

They are young and impetuous, in the prime of their lives.
