Big, dark-skinned, honest top x sharp-tongued neat freak bottom | Opposites attract | Turning a straight man gay | Construction worker x lawyer | Dogs can’t eat chocolate
Song Mutouren is just like his name suggests: dull and taciturn, like a piece of wood.
He’s not very bright, a product of the country’s nine years of compulsory education. All he has is endless strength and a body packed with muscle. Later, a fellow villager brings him to a big city, where he becomes a migrant worker and sells his backbreaking labor.
But luck isn’t on his side. The contractor runs off with the project funds, leaving half a year of hard work unpaid.
With no other choice, he takes on private jobs to survive, doing renovations for a lawyer.

Lawyer Ji is handsome, successful, and a graduate of a prestigious university. He and Song Mutouren are people from entirely different worlds.
But he has his flaws: he’s too fussy, a neat freak, and so particular that he’s driven away countless renovation workers.
The honest, obedient Song Mutouren just about meets his standards and suits his taste.
Out of sympathy, he decides to help this dimwit sue for the wages he’s owed.
:)
He explains the law and workers’ rights to Song Mutouren, who just hums and says, “Yeah, yeah,” without understanding a single word. He’s completely ignorant of the law.
Still, at least he’s an honest man. He just talks too much.
He talks too much in bed, too, constantly asking as he goes whether it hurts, whether it feels good, and whether he should keep going.
So annoying!
Lawyer Ji gets so mad he bites down on his pectoral muscle. He might as well bite him to death!
Theme: There’s no end to learning, and hardship is the price of progress.
