The Transmigrated Woman and Bian Ji

I fell in love with a sutra translator from a thousand years ago.

I knelt before the Buddha for him, and defied the laws of time and space for him.

I thought I could eventually move his heart.

But imagination is only imagination. When rebel troops surrounded us, he left me behind and ran toward the princess without hesitation.

My shoulders and arms were pierced, leaving me drenched in blood, while the princess's contemptuous gaze fell on me like a knife.

Bian Ji remained unmoved.

At last, I understood. How could anyone break up the destined couple?

He would still meet his end by being cut in half at the waist.

And I was nothing but a passerby.
