One was decisive and efficient, always turning things in early (Jin Mu); the other dragged his feet and handed things in at the last possible second (Lan Xuan). One bounced around, seeming carefree and thoughtless (Lan Xuan); the other was calm and collected, the most dependable support anyone could ask for (Jin Mu).
But even the strongest support needs protecting...
A scandal in their second year of high school led Jin Mu to transfer to Lanlin No. 1 High School because of the rumors swirling around him. He continued serving as student council president there. Experimental High School was a prestigious school, but it still couldn't compare with Lanlin No. 1. The two met again a year later at a student council dinner. As Jin Mu left the private room reserved for Lanlin No. 1 and passed the one for Experimental High, Lan Xuan happened to spot him. By a twist of fate, their paths crossed once more.
Lan Xuan: "Little President... It's really you!"
Jin Mu: "Bro... Let's get reacquainted. I'm the student council president at Lanlin No. 1 now, not..."
Lan Xuan: "It's okay... It's okay..."

People say that Chang'an returns to his hometown, but first, one has to be Chang'an and the other his hometown.
(Later on, I plan to have Jin Mu become a writer under the pen name Chang'an, while Lan Xuan becomes a social media blogger named Hometown.)
