A fragile beauty x the favored son of heaven
The first time Yi Huai saw Zhou Ran, he immediately had improper thoughts about her.
She came to see his house, quiet and composed. Resting her chin on the rusty iron window, she gazed outside with steady, dark eyes. Her soft, cherry-red lips made him reluctant to hurt her.
That day, Yi Huai agreed on the rent with her, one hand in his pocket, grinning with cocky mischief and a pointed look.
"No overnight guests here. You won't be bringing a man back, will you, junior?"
Zhou Ran shook her head. "I won't."

Later, Yi Huai found out she had a boyfriend.
They walked hand in hand across campus one afternoon, the boy holding an umbrella over her. Yi Huai watched them like a snake lurking in the shadows, wishing he could sink his fangs into the boy's neck.
Later still, word got around that the boy had cheated.
Zhou Ran quietly shed tears. Yi Huai stepped closer, his long fingers sliding down to tease her delicate collarbone, until her eyes brimmed with tears, as if she could no longer bear the humiliation.
"Ranran, what is there to like about him?"
"You should like me."
-
His underlings called her "sis-in-law," and, as time went by, Zhou Ran seemed to accept the title.
Just before graduation, she blocked Yi Huai on every platform, like a fallen autumn leaf or a fish returning to the sea.
Yi Huai searched for her like a madman.
Three years later, Zhou Ran returned to the country, thinking she had finally escaped that lunatic. She breathed a long sigh of relief.
But that night, Yi Huai was leaning against the door of her rented apartment, head tilted and lips curled in a smile. His tone was as intimate as if they had never been apart, with a sharp, mad edge hidden beneath the warmth.
"Ranran, was hide-and-seek fun?"
"How about you try disappearing again?"
Additional notes
1. The heroine has a boyfriend and has kissed him, but her first time is with the hero. The hero is devoted and has only ever had the heroine.
2. The hero is not a normal person.
3. This is another result of the author's eating too much jumbled-up food. Don't take the logic too seriously. Thanks.
