College Student Teacher [The 1980s]

Seven years after the college entrance exams were reinstated, a high school in the county town welcomed a new teacher who had graduated from university.

His name was Wen Jingxing. A recent graduate, he was gentle and shy, with an air of bookish refinement in his white shirt. When he stood at the lectern to teach, his eyes shone with a clear light.

He cared deeply for every student. His greatest wish was for the children to grow up healthy and happy, and to achieve their dreams.

Jiang Shuruo often gazed intently up at Wen Jingxing at the front of the classroom.

Not because she admired his presence, but because...

Jiang Shuruo didn't want to be like most people around her, casually marrying someone, then having one child after another in the hope of giving birth to a boy, and spending her whole life trapped in a tiny county town.

She wanted to study, go to university, travel far away, and see the wide world.

In Jiang Shuruo's heart, Wen Jingxing was her mentor.

How could she repay his kindness by ruining his reputation?

In Wen Jingxing's heart, Jiang Shuruo was precious.

He wanted to protect her dreams and watch her go farther than he had, step by step, and reach greater heights.

How could he bear to hold her back?

After all these years, they finally understood that there was a kind of love called protection.

Protecting each other.
