In year 3869 of the Light Calendar, I met a white-haired warrior on the Cliffs of Dawn.

Hysilens said he was going against the current, someone who would turn the strata upside down. Tribbie said he was a great and steadfast savior.

But when I looked at him, he simply turned his gaze away.

He was a powerful warrior, quiet and taciturn, always burdened by his thoughts.

And yet I felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity. There seemed to be something about him from the past... or, to me now, a memory from the future, so deep that I almost burst into tears.

Through countless dawns, you journeyed toward a distant fate;

Through countless sunsets, I watched the sun's destruction.

From the World of Creation to the World of Ruin, from the Month of the Gate to the Month of Opportunity, I spent three thousand years alongside those who would one day become gods.

From one end of the world to the other, carrying all the love on this earth, the long and arduous journey finally returned to its starting point.

A Chrysos Heir who never became a hero x the savior destined to be

Timeline: It starts when Phainon first learns the truth about the Flame-Chase journey and begins the Re-Creation cycle, then returns to the Golden War era. In her first life (the first time she completed Re-Creation, before entering any cycles), the heroine and Phainon were lovers.

I researched the timeline before writing, with some original interpretations. Since the story is set against the Amphoreus/Black Tide backdrop, the tone is rather heavy.

Content warnings:

-> First-person narration. Told in flashbacks.

-> The heroine has lived a long time and is from the same era as Cerydra and the others. After researching the timelines across different versions, I found that characters' birth years and major events varied between versions and cycles. In the end, I chose the timeline Phainon summarized during his first cycle in version 3.4. Some details may differ from the original IP.

-> All the Chrysos Heirs have platonic feelings for the heroine. Depending on how things go, there may also be romantic feelings with Mydei and others, but Phainon is the true love interest.

P.S. There are many Chrysos Heirs. Anyone with golden blood is a Chrysos Heir. This isn't an attempt to replace or steal the original characters' roles...

I started this on a whim after the Phainon storyline. I have an outline, but I may not finish it.
