A preview of my next novels, The Unluckiest Person in the World and The World's Greatest Swordsman Wants Me to Confess, is at the end! ♡
Gentle, powerful reborn Alpha gong x world-weary, frail, fallen genius Omega shou
When Tang Hua was fourteen, he personally slashed his own gland. His parents died, and he fell from the heights of success, becoming a useless wreck with no talent left.
He gave up on his future, planning to use his death to put an end to his enemy's revenge.
He thought he had reached a dead end.
Until Shen Youyi appeared.
This childhood neighbor, once a lonely boy and now an exalted genius, insisted on dragging him out of the mire. He provided not only top-tier medical care, but also privileges that made others jealous.
Tang Hua couldn't understand why Shen Youyi wanted to save him. Investing in the person he was now was bound to be a losing proposition. Was Shen Youyi crazy?
Sometimes Tang Hua wondered if this was all a dream, and that one day he would open his eyes to find himself back in the past, when Shen Youyi wasn't there.
The moment he would wake from this dream never came. Shen Youyi said he would take care of him, and kept at it for five years.
At eighteen, Tang Hua, whose speech was impaired by stress, typed out a line with trembling hands, asking Shen Youyi to give up on him.
[You can't take care of me for the rest of your life. You'll fall in love, you'll get married, and you'll have someone who is truly your first choice.]
As for Tang Hua, he would return to the mire and wait to die, eventually disappearing from the world.
He thought Shen Youyi had understood and would finally set him free.
They should have been like parallel lines, meeting once and never crossing again.
But the next day, Shen Youyi came back all the same.
The usually composed and levelheaded Alpha slapped a stack of signed property transfer documents down in front of him. His eyes held a startlingly intense, uncompromising obsession.
“You need an absolute guarantee, don't you? Then sign, Meihua.”
“You can be my first choice.”
“Just like you said, I saved you with ulterior motives from the very beginning.”
From the gong's perspective:
In his previous life, Shen Youyi left his family at twenty to pursue his dream. At twenty-four, after meeting his soulmate, he returned home for their sake.
But in the end, his beloved withered away in despair.
On the way to see him one last time, Shen Youyi was in a car accident.
When he opened his eyes again, he was back at twenty, on the very day he had to make a fateful decision.
That year, Tang Hua lost his parents, destroyed his gland, and was being crushed, nearly drowning in pain.
Shen Youyi was ultimately a step too late, but at least he hadn't come too late.
The boy's eyes were lost and empty, his face still youthful. Shen Youyi sheathed his sharp edges and led the prickly little hedgehog home.
"Please note"
1. The shou is seriously ill, and his condition affects every aspect of his life. He can no longer study or do much of anything. When his illness flares up, he really does lose his reason.
2. A healing story with a bittersweet, everyday feel. The logic isn't much of a focus; love overcomes all. The plot described in the blurb comes later, around chapter seventy-something.
3. The couple are together forever, with no breakup or switching roles. They are bound by fate.
4. No pregnancy in the main story, but there is in the extras. They both want a loving, healthy family, and to build countless unbreakable bonds with each other.
Next novel: The Unluckiest Person in the World
On the day he became an adult, Jiang Die, a high school graduate taking the college entrance exam as a social candidate, received an acceptance letter from a school for people with supernatural abilities.
Jiang Die, who had no powers, was thunderstruck. What about his college acceptance letter?
He had only wanted to live an ordinary life, quietly growing old and dying. But if fate insisted on making trouble for him, he wasn't going to be a coward about it.
But...
Why had the storm come so quickly? Was it normal to get caught up in a supernatural incident so soon?!
Caught up in it with him was a ridiculously handsome man who radiated an air of nobility.
The handsome man kept staring at his chest and sneering, for reasons Jiang Die couldn't fathom.
After the incident, a suspicious group claiming to be from the Bureau of Special Affairs came to take Jiang Die away.
Jiang Die instinctively resisted. His strong intuition told him he couldn't go, or things would get even worse.
As he tried to figure out how to escape, the handsome man smiled ominously. “You're taking my fiancee away?”
Jiang Die: ?
He wasn't anyone's fiancee! He didn't have a fiance! Where had this arranged marriage, dropped out of nowhere to ruin his life, come from?
Determined to find out how it had all begun, he set off on a journey.
For some reason, people along the way kept telling him that the fate of all humanity rested on his shoulders!
Him: ...I'm really not a savior.
He's the unluckiest person in the world, and his fiance is the second unluckiest.
-
When Xiang Qianzhi received word that he had to pick up his fiancee, he scoffed at the idea of an arranged marriage.
When he recognized his fiancee by a ring, Xiang Qianzhi admitted that they were somewhat attractive, but still opposed the arranged marriage with all his might.
But when a particular anomaly forced him to kiss this fiancee, Xiang Qianzhi thoroughly enjoyed it, then laughed in frustration.
They'd only just met, so why did they hate him so much? He'd thought it meant they were attracted to him.
Life and death can be decided in an instant, but the soul never perishes.
Countless butterflies came beating their wings, drinking blood and devouring flesh, leaving nothing but bones.
How long would these Blood-Patterned Butterflies stay?
His soul would never perish, so perhaps they would never disappear, until a new turn of events sealed everything away.
Where it begins, there it ends.
"Please note"
1. The shou's real name is Fang Die, and he has supernatural abilities.
2. A bickering couple, meant affectionately, not sarcastically.
An arrogant, impossibly handsome gong x a cool beauty shou who still has some humanity left (?).
3. The couple are together forever, with no breakup, switching roles, or bashing. They are bound by fate.
4. The original inspiration came from a short introduction to Blood-Patterned Butterflies. The worldbuilding is designed to satisfy my chuunibyou fantasies, though it might not be especially thrilling. The ending is not a happy one.
Next novel: The World's Greatest Swordsman Wants Me to Confess
Zi Sang Yin had known for a long time that he was doomed to die young. He only wanted to do what he pleased with the time he had left, so he said goodbye to his older siblings, took the assumed name Sang Jian, and headed for Xianyi Pavilion, the greatest sect of musical cultivators in the world, to take its entrance exam.
He accomplished everything a musical cultivator could do, even though his playing sounded like a cat being strangled. He also accomplished what musical cultivators couldn't do.
At the apprenticeship ceremony, the Pavilion Master of Xianyi Pavilion asked him, looking somewhat troubled, “Why did you choose Xianyi Pavilion, young friend? With your aptitude, you'd surely be better suited to becoming a sword cultivator.”
Sang Jian grinned. “Because music is my greatest weakness.”
...Could that hideous noise really be described as a mere weakness?
Sang Jian said, “Besides, if I wanted to become a sword cultivator, the greatest swordsman in the world is right here in Xianyi Pavilion.”
In an upper corner of the hall, a man who had been sitting nonchalantly straightened up. The smile slowly faded from his lips.
Immortal Venerable Wuxian, whose real name was Bai Ruoyi, was the greatest swordsman in the cultivation world. His main pursuit was musical cultivation. He had made his name with a sword when he was young, but later claimed he wanted to cultivate his character and abandon the sword for music.
Perhaps old habits died hard. He once declared, “As long as I win, what does it matter if I use my flute as a stick to beat a dog?”
How arrogant. How shameless.
They said the Pavilion Master of Xianyi Pavilion was so furious that he took heart pills like candy every day.
Bai Ruoyi had thought observing this year's entrance exam would be a bit of fun. Who could have guessed an oddball would show up and bring him into the conversation as soon as he opened his mouth? It seemed the boy had admired him for a long time.
Bai Ruoyi frowned for a long while, then decided that Yanyan Peak was a little lonely and could use some fresh blood.
“You want to become my disciple?”
Sang Jian: ?
When had he said he wanted to become Bai Ruoyi's disciple?
“Very well. Then you'll be my final disciple.”
Sang Jian: ???
Was the door going to be shut as soon as it opened?
But on second thought, it might not be a bad idea. Immortal Venerable Wuxian looked rich and unbothered, and probably wouldn't try to manage him. He was an ideal choice of master.
A worthy student finds a kindred spirit in a humble place, and the skies over Yanyan Peak finally darkened.
The master and disciple, who preferred a quiet retirement filled with money and free time, never made a fuss. Their biggest daily dilemma was what to do that day.
Practice cultivation? No, no, too tiring.
Go to class? No, no, too boring.
Go on an adventure? No, no, too much effort.
Play music? Yes, yes, so refined.
Eat? Yes, yes, delicious.
Make money? Yes, yes, we love it.
Then one day, Sang Jian found a portrait tucked away in a hidden compartment in his master's cave abode. The person in the painting had a knowing smile and expressive eyes, and looked exactly like him.
Sang Jian: ?!
His master was actually that kind of master! Where was justice? Where were ethics? Where was reason?
And where was the way to confess?
But when he remembered he was only a short-lived person, his spirits sank.
He'd live as long as he could. Love's waters ran too deep to grasp.

"Please note"
1. A chuunibyou saves the world. The early story is light and cheerful, but the later parts will feel a little heavy in comparison.
2. A pretentious worldly path x a romantic path that loves without meaning to, with affection for friends and family (emphasis on that).
3. The couple will not be separated, switch roles, or be bashed.
Kisses! ♡
