On this lonely, forgotten planet, Weixi is the only marine biologist.
On her first day at work, she finds a stranded mermaid on the beach.

She is nothing like the graceful, beautiful, bewitching figure described in the records.
Weixi takes her back to the research station anyway.
Some deep-sea creatures lie in wait and feign weakness when they lack the strength to chase down their prey. The mermaid clearly knows this trick well.
She's fragile and innocent, but her occasional unconvincing acting reveals her defiance.
Weixi thinks this mermaid is rather adorable.
At mealtimes, she doesn't like vegetables, yet she thumps her tail fin against the floor and cleans her plate.
The mermaid doesn't like wearing human clothes. Whenever Weixi dresses her up beautifully, she secretly removes the decorations.
When Weixi refuses her request to sleep together in the sea, she quietly brings over an innocent clam shell and complains about Weixi to it.
At last, the mermaid is raised to be healthy and strong.
Her long hair flows like seaweed, her features are striking, and her muscles are clearly defined, giving her a powerful build. Even her scales shimmer with a mother-of-pearl luster.
By the shore,
she presents Weixi with a mermaid's tear.
