A pseudo-realistic story about two actresses who both win Best Actress, created by fans of the pairing. Apologies for any out-of-character moments. The following is my own setting.
Because of her role as "Nightingale" in the new spy thriller "Dark Current," Li Yitong meets the "Dawn" destined for her: Tian Xiwei.
Twenty-six-year-old Tian Xiwei is as sharp and agile as a blade when playing Gu Zhaoning. Yet off camera, she is always finding excuses to get close to Li Yitong, bringing her warm milk tea and asking for help with her lines. Even the redness at the corners of her eyes is reserved just for her. "Sister Yitong, could you run through this scene with me again...?"
At first, Li Yitong thought she was a bit of a handful. Then, during a scene where the two characters confronted each other, an accidental kiss made her heart race. At last, she saw her own feelings clearly.
Later, on a rainy night, an accident occurred while they were filming an explosion scene. Tian Xiwei caught her without hesitation. Even as pain made her wrist tremble, she gritted her teeth and said she was fine. Li Yitong, acting on instinct, pulled her into her arms. Their soaked clothes let the warmth of their bodies spill out, hot enough to burn a hole in the night.
After the wrap party, Tian Xiwei waited outside Li Yitong's room and gave her a nine-photo collage as a wrap gift. "The Nightingale in the show never got to see the Dawn. But I want to be your dawn."
Faced with this open declaration of love, Li Yitong pushed her out the door and apologized. But when Tian Xiwei called her while drunk, she rushed to a bar and learned the secret behind the nine-photo collage.
Afterward, the two joined a variety show arranged by the production crew. One night during their shared stay, Li Yitong approached Tian Xiwei, who was lying on the other side of the bed. "I regret it. Can you give me another chance?"
"I've been waiting for you for so long," Tian Xiwei said, tears shining in her eyes. "Let's be together."
When Li Yitong voiced her worries and reservations, Tian Xiwei said, "I'm the one who dragged you into this. I'm the one who fell in love with you first."
Later, "Dark Current" swept the Golden Rooster Awards. At the ceremony where they were both announced as Best Actress winners, they clasped hands. After the ceremony, they released a documentary and a long post they had prepared together.
With love and hope, the two announced their retirement from show business.
Some people said they were crazy to give up being a top-tier star. Only they knew the truth:
The "Nightingale" and the "Dawn" in the show had to take their final bows. But Li Yitong and Tian Xiwei, off screen, had only just gotten their hands on the most thrilling script of their lives: from now on, they would act out a story meant for just the two of them, from the first light of dawn to their twilight years beneath the snow.
