Save the Octopus

When Ning Cen was twelve, he found a dying pink octopus on the beach. It was barely alive, with only two tentacles left, curled helplessly in the palm of his hand.

He put it in a glass tank and carefully raised it.

Little did he know this would mark the beginning of a lifelong nightmare.

On his eighteenth birthday, just after midnight, Ning Cen fell into a strange dream.

He was kneeling before a gigantic octopus statue, with a man he'd never seen before standing beside him.

In a deep voice, the man said Ning Cen was his new bride, and that he would share his endless lifespan with him...

A few hours later, the nightmare came true.

The man from the dream appeared in Ning Cen's home.

His mother and father smiled strangely and said to him:

"Ningning, Mr. Soss has come to take you away."

"Go with him."
