The merciless Daoist patriarch Yijian Yin once had a Heavenly Dao disciple a thousand years ago: obedient and gentle, with all his heart devoted to the common people. Unfortunately, while Yijian Yin was in seclusion, a heart demon took advantage of the moment and shattered the disciple's Daoist heart.
He watched helplessly as his only personal disciple chose to take his own life for the sake of all under heaven, dying and losing his cultivation. He felt no grief whatsoever, and was even proud of him.
"That's my good disciple, Yijian Yin's pride! What admirable backbone! So what if he has a heart demon? It can't humiliate him one bit!"
He was heartless and unfeeling. The Heavenly Dao cursed him for three thousand years, but the stubborn old Daoist never repented.
Yet after the Heavenly Dao's son died, he never took another disciple.
Then one day, an old woman brought him wine in a flask. Children played and laughed around him, and for no reason at all, his eyes grew damp.
What use was a lifetime of cultivation? With no one to carry on after him, his life amounted to nothing.
His disciple, in appearance, character, and talent, had no equal across three thousand worlds.
That was the true Heavenly Dao he had painstakingly raised, pouring his whole life's effort into him!
How could there ever be another Heavenly Dao's son? There would never again be a Wang Luoqing in the Heavenly Dao.
In a moment of thoughtless folly, he exhausted his cultivation and reversed the Reincarnation Realm, returning to three thousand years earlier.
In this new life, he would do whatever it took to protect his precious disciple.
He never expected that what had driven the Heavenly Dao's son to take his own life was a tribulation of love, carefully engineered by a heart demon.
The mortal realm sent up a beautiful offering, a beauty whose face was seven parts similar to the young Yijian Yin.
The Heavenly Dao's son accepted him.
The Heavenly Dao's son fell in love.
Damn it! When the stubborn old Daoist learned the truth, he was furious.
"You filthy bastards, how dare you go this far!"
"You bully my disciple, and now you want to copy my face too?"
"This isn't a trap for the Heavenly Dao. It's you grinding my face into the dirt and wiping your feet on it!"
In his fury, Yijian Yin kicked aside the heart demon's substitute, put on a wedding robe, adjusted his jade crown, and climbed into the sedan chair.
The merciless Daoist patriarch would enter the trap himself!
Scarlet veils stretched for miles, and the crowd bustled. Then a pale, slender hand lifted the curtain, and everything fell silent.
The young man's features were as beautiful as ever, just as Yijian Yin remembered. But the instant he saw him, his breath caught.
"It's only been a few days. How did you..."
"Get a little older?"
Yijian Yin spoke with defiant confidence, though he had no real argument. "Haven't you heard? One day in heaven is a year on earth."
The young man's fingertips trembled. "Is that so..."
Amid the candlelight and clinking cups, the young man drank and fell obediently, sweetly into his arms, inexperienced as a green fruit.
The old Daoist was used to being rough, but for the first time he was careful and proper, so awkward and restrained that he couldn't bear to touch him.
But when he thought of how his beloved disciple would fall to demonic corruption, take his own life, be pierced through the heart by ten thousand swords, and have his soul fragments destroyed beyond recovery... After thinking it over, he steeled himself and finally gave in to desire.
Wasn't it just dual cultivation? For the sake of his precious disciple, the true heir of the Heavenly Dao, he'd do it.
Overcome by passion, the young man nestled in his arms, crying so hard he could barely catch his breath.
Again and again, he stroked the face that resembled his master, wishing he could drown in the dreamlike pleasure.
"Master... You haven't been willing to see me for more than ten thousand years..."
"Thank goodness. You were reborn, you didn't... abandon me..."
Yijian Yin: ...
Hah. So flies don't land on eggs without cracks.
The top gong in the story: upright, hard-mouthed but soft-hearted, fiercely protective of his disciple, and eventually regains his peak cultivation.
The shou seems innocent but is actually cunning and sinister. In front of his husband, he's tender and soft, but deep down, he's as tough as they come. (The former villain BOSS was redeemed, not made stupid.)
Everyone is reborn, and they all have memories of their past lives. The shou made one wrong choice and shattered his Daoist heart. He thought the gong would expel him from the sect, but instead, the gong sent himself to the bed!
At first, it was a master-disciple bond! The gong just misunderstood!
But once he went down the wrong path, it only took the time to burn a stick of incense for things to change!

I got depressed writing the tragic story next door, so I'm opening this one to cook up some comfort food, hahaha!
Theme: The Great Dao is simple, and the world belongs to all.
