On a dark, stormy night, Xi Qi is sent to a psychiatric hospital for intentionally injuring someone while under eighteen and for having a severe antisocial personality. Here, she meets someone even crazier than herself.
For five years, Xi Qi appears to welcome Jiang Ya's advances, while secretly plotting how to kill her.
Then one night, she sneaks off and cuts off Jiang Ya's beloved long hair. Everything spirals out of control. Jiang Ya cries and screams, wanting to kill herself.
From then on, even the formerly gentle medical staff show a different side. They connect to a backend program, and everyone is forcibly dragged into one instance after another under the pretext of treatment.
What happens after they clear an instance? Can we make it out alive? No one knows.
Hand in hand, they conquer countless instances, thinking they have reached the end, only to fall into a true loop.
Jiang Ya murmurs Xi Qi's name in her sleep. Xi Qi thinks: If things could go on like this forever, that wouldn't be so bad.
