A good-for-nothing who rises to become a human immortal official x a forceful, straightforward, passionate little dragon royal
1.
After transmigrating into an ancient cultivation world that discriminated against mortals, ordinary person Xiang Yiming made it through the examinations and became an immortal official.
Shunned and looked down on, and caught in the midst of a rebel crisis, she lay low and saved herself before returning to the Celestial Court. But the world had changed completely.
The spiritual energy sustaining the workings of heaven and earth had dwindled, and all the immortal officials were helpless as disasters erupted one after another.
Xiang Yiming wondered: Huh? Am I not the only agricultural science graduate from a top-tier university in this world?
She gazed at the vast farmlands in her sea of consciousness and wondered how she could explain that the crops she had bred were imbued with spiritual energy.
So she relied on crop-breeding experiments and devoted herself to farming, helping the poor people of this miserable, destitute land get enough to eat, giving them staple cash crops, and developing a related tertiary industry...
A desolate, miserable wasteland gradually became an agriculturally prosperous place, where farmers grew rich, rural life became pleasant and harmonious, spiritual energy flowed freely, and the people lived happily. It made a stunning comeback to become the top prefecture of the Nine Provinces!
As spiritual energy flowed back to her, her strength grew ever greater. In the end, she saved the Nine Provinces from disaster, turned her sword against the rebels, and gloriously avenged the blood feud she had suffered.
Later, she rose from a minor local official to the position of Celestial Sovereign in a single leap. She encouraged the newly appointed immortal officials:
Even a low-ranking official and a wasteland can be enough to let you rise from the bottom to the top.
Cross every hardship and danger. The powerful and the immortals are nothing special. Mortals can become the greatest immortal officials, too!

Ji Wuyou was ordered to investigate the rebels, and investigated Xiang Yiming with suspicion eight hundred times over.
Until one day, he realized he could recite every one of Xiang Yiming's files, policy essays, and official documents from memory.
Ji Wuyou: Oh no.
Later, when Xiang Yiming learned about this, she was baffled: My crush is pursuing me, but I never planned to date! How is a big woman who only knows how to build her career supposed to handle this? I'm asking online, help!
