High School | Childhood Friends | Sweet Romance | Ensemble Cast
Fang Mingjing is sending a clear signal: Zhou Jie isn’t sitting with him, and he’s upset!
Zhou Jie decides to find a chance to cheer him up.
She leans back, rests her head on Fang Mingjing’s desk, and quizzes him on his English vocabulary.
“Have you memorized all the words?”
“Yeah.”
“Independent?”
“Self-reliant.”
“Irrational?”
“Unreasonable.”
“Stingy?”
Fang Mingjing falls silent.
“Didn’t you say you’d memorized them?” Zhou Jie laughs.
“That one’s beyond the syllabus. I don’t know it,” Fang Mingjing says.
“Don’t know it, or don’t want to say it?”
“You already know, so why ask?”
Zhou Jie laughs, and the whole vocabulary book trembles.
He looks down into Zhou Jie’s eyes and asks, “Smitten?”
Zhou Jie’s smile freezes for a moment. She presses her lips together without answering. From her perspective, Fang Mingjing is upside down, and she hadn’t realized his lips looked so sexy from this angle.
She quickly recovers her smile. “Possessed.”
“...”
The next day, he sees a string of letters Zhou Jie has written on the glass:
metoooooooooooo!
Fang Mingjing is happy now.
Fang Mingjing grins like he’s lost his soul.
