He had excellent grades as a child, and attended a low-ranking Project 211 university.
According to the news, Typhoon No. 7 will bring torrential rain to the city. Thunderstorms can be unpredictable, so residents are advised to stay indoors.
Before the storm arrives, he finds a cat and takes it back to his dorm.
The rain pouring down from the sky flows back up into it. Orange lightning writes a character in the air. His pillow turns into a green bamboo-leaf boat, drifting along the path of his childhood and into a dream.
He lies on the ground, staring into the cat's eyes.
At the end of his life, he thinks, If only I hadn't picked up this cat before the storm arrived.
