Don't Touch That Superman

Hello, my name is Brian.

Uh... or, as people in the big city would say, Pasternak.

Work transferred me here, so I said goodbye to Mr. Clark, the kind man who shared his apartment with me, and came to this city called Gotham to work for the legendary Wayne Enterprises.

System: Hurry up and kill Superman!

I said in alarm: What?! This is a respectable job. We don't kill people!

System: We can only do it now, before that liar is exposed...

All I could do was hit the mute button.

"I'm going to work! We'll talk later."

System: %#@...

A certain Dark Knight had recently been investigating a series of attacks in Gotham by invisible beasts.

Following the clues, he had successfully zeroed in on a suspicious individual.

He pulled up the file:

Brian Pasternak, Wayne Enterprises, hunter

A certain Dark Knight: ?

Who sent out the offer?! How did he not know Wayne had this position?

At last, beneath the pitch-black night sky, he cornered a guy dressed in a country-bumpkin blue suit and wearing an ominous red demon mask.

Batman: What are you after?

System: Kill Superman!!

Superman, just passing by: ?

Brian: Nooooo!

*The protagonist is from the game Yuppie Psycho. Our Brian is adorable, so please give it a try. The background includes some original worldbuilding.

*The System is The Devastator, a paranoid little kitty.
