After Xia Wanshu dies suddenly, she transmigrates into an apocalypse novel.

To stay alive, she decides to cling to the heroine, Lu Hejin. In the novel, the heroine is capable of anything, overcoming every obstacle with both brains and brawn.

Once everyone has gathered, Xia Wanshu looks at the only three women present and wonders whether the capable woman with the neat short hair is the heroine, or the muscular fitness instructor.

Just then, a woman in a white gauze dress in the corner, her eyes brimming with tears and on the verge of fainting from crying, timidly says, "My name is Lu Hejin."

Xia Wanshu: "..."

Is it too late to jump off a building?

Lu Hejin is timid and cries easily, with no ability to protect herself. Xia Wanshu can't bear to leave her helpless, so she tremulously takes on the responsibility of protecting her. Perhaps it's thanks to Lu Hejin's protagonist aura, but the two always manage to make it to the end with only a few close calls.

Until one night, Xia Wanshu gets up to use the bathroom and sees the woman who should be on the other side of the bed wielding a knife, moving as fast as a ghost and dispatching the zombies in just a few strokes.

Xia Wanshu: "..."

She must be dreaming.

She lies back down. A cold body presses against her from behind, and she trembles slightly. A faint smell of blood hangs in the air.

"Shushu, I'm scared." The woman rests her head against Xia Wanshu's back, docile and harmless.

Xia Wanshu: "..."

I can't believe I fell for your act.
