After being jilted, Su Wan takes refuge in a ruined mountain god temple, hoping to escape the world. But she accidentally steps on the Mountain Spirit Contract and is forced to become the owner of a monster diner!
From then on, bizarre orders come pouring in:
Cook glowing firefly porridge for a sleepless mountain demon (and accidentally burn a hole through the temple roof).
Make peppercorn fish-scale jelly for a jiao dragon (who complains, "It doesn't taste enough like getting struck by lightning!").
Take a peach blossom demon's petals as payment (if you pluck them bald, does that count as a century of interest?).
The shop's adorable mascot, the calamity-eating cat Coal Ball, is even more extraordinary. It eats resentment and poops out "purifying dust." The radishes grown with it glow like nightclub lights!
When her half-demon bloodline is exposed, demon hunter Xie Wujiu comes charging in with his sword. "Demoness! Why can your blood cure dragon-scale pain?"
Su Wan turns it back on him. "Instead of investigating me, why don't you find out who stole the jiao dragon's reverse scale and used it to prop up your table?"
One crisis after another follows:
The paper-doll deliveryman turns to paper pulp soup in the rain (Xie Wujiu: "...Would using a hair dryer to save him count as demon hunting?").
The peach blossom demon burns her soul to protect the shop and creates a peach-blossom miasma (reborn, she becomes obsessed with Empresses in the Palace: "I shall slay the dragon!").
A hidden clause appears in the contract. Su Wan turns out to be the "key" to breaking the Demon Emperor's seal!
To save the world, Su Wan unleashes her ultimate moves:
She uses worry-banishing honey to cleanse the Demon Emperor's malice (the price: Xie Wujiu has to cross-dress to make the Demon Emperor cry).
She converts an Immortal-Slaying Cannon into a monster-food warmer (the Immortal Realm files a complaint: "You used the Immortal-Slaying Array to roast rabbit heads?!").
She opens branches across the Three Realms, stir-frying flowers from the Other Shore in the Underworld (Meng Po is thrilled: "This sells better than soup! Even ghosts love spicy food!").
In the end, the entire Three Realms turns into one big diner kitchen:
The Demon Emperor streams his prison labor on "Hell's Kitchen" (signature dish: stir-fried Judge's Brush).
Coal Ball the cat rules Cat Planet with a qilin cub (remote command: dried fish are free today!).
And Su Wan lies flat and collects rent. "Young Master Xie, a contract is nothing compared to a willing bond. How about a coriander-free combo meal, on the house?"
Theme: Good food can heal anything, and even someone who lies flat can rise to become the big boss of the Three Realms!
Theme: A true contract is a bond freely chosen, not a forced restraint.
