Synopsis
One day, Bai Xin found a badly injured man beside the stream in front of her little house.
Dressed in white stained with blood, he lay by the water, barely breathing, a sharp green-steel sword clutched tightly in his hand.
Bai Xin watched him from a distance for a while, then summoned her courage and wiped his face.
Sword-shaped brows, bright eyes, and a handsome, refined appearance.
He was worth taking home.
Bai Xin cared for him devotedly for half a month, and at last he opened his eyes.
He said his name was Chu Yang, a sword cultivator from a small sect who had been hunted down and driven here.
Chu Yang wasn't much of a talker, but he was exceptionally gentle and polite. From the very first day he woke up, he took over all the sweeping and housework. He even fed the chickens in the yard until they were plump and healthy.
Bai Xin propped her chin in her hands and watched the man chopping wood in the yard, sizing him up.
He was strong, good-tempered, honest, and chivalrous.
Though he had been hunted until he was covered in wounds, he was at least a sword cultivator. His martial arts should be decent enough.
That should be enough to protect an ordinary person like her, who had no spiritual roots.
His one flaw was that he was too quiet, sometimes as wooden as a log.
A few days after recovering, Chu Yang said goodbye to Bai Xin.
"Thank you, Miss Bai, for taking me in these past few days. I will surely repay you for saving my life someday."
"Can I ask you to repay me however I want?"
"Of course. I'll brave fire and water, whatever it takes."
Bai Xin tilted her head at him. "I've heard people say that a life-saving debt should be repaid by marrying the person who saved you."
Chu Yang: "..."
His face reddened, and he began to stammer. "Miss Bai..."
Bai Xin pressed her advantage. "You just said I could ask you to repay me however I want!"
He was so innocent, too. There was no way she could let him get away now!
*
Bai Xin had successfully tricked him into marrying her, and she found married life even more delightful.
Chu Yang could hunt in the mountains, wash dishes and do laundry, and was especially energetic at night.
Bai Xin didn't have to lift a finger.
Living in a jar of honey, Bai Xin often felt grateful she'd acted decisively and won this man over. Where else could she find such a gentle, considerate husband?
Then one day, their wooden door was suddenly split apart by a fierce gust of wind. Chu Yang shielded her in his arms, and the sword Bai Xin had hung on the wall as a ward against evil rang out and flew into his hand.
Three or four men and women dressed in white flew in on their swords. The man in front gave a flippant smile and said, "So the famed Sword God has been holed up in a little thatched hut like this?"
Bai Xin: ???
Sword what?
*
After they married, Bai Xin had been curious about Chu Yang's origins.
"Husband, which sect are you from, anyway?" Bai Xin tried to recall the little she knew about the cultivation sects.
"The Yunxiao Sect?"
She'd heard that more than half of the Yunxiao Sect's disciples were sword cultivators.
Chu Yang patiently combed her hair.
"No."
"Then... the Luoying Sect?"
The Luoying Sect had the most disciples throughout the land. Even their town had a branch.
Chu Yang deftly finished braiding her hair into a lovely style and smiled gently. "I'm from a small sect. Including my master, there are only eight of us."
A small sect with eight people... Bai Xin figured that even if Chu Yang told her its name, she wouldn't recognize it. Better not embarrass him. She'd just let him save face.
Tens of miles away, Wen Xu was eavesdropping with a listening talisman and nearly spat blood.
Uncle-Master, does Grandmaster know you're telling people that our Tianyi Sect, the foremost and unrivaled sect in the cultivation world, is just a tiny sect?
The gentle, modest, and formidable Sword God, a black-hearted-on-the-inside male lead x the clever, adorable, ordinary female lead, innocent inside and out
The male lead is reasonable when he's not fighting. Once he starts, his killing intent is more terrifying than a ghost's.
Theme: Always dressed in robes the color of rosy clouds, untouched by the peach blossoms of the mortal world.
? ? ? ? ? This is too sloppy, isn't it? It ends with nothing? [Crack][crack]
Ah ah ah ah can you give me more? 😭 [Purple Sugar] kswl [Orange Sugar] I got it
It really ended like this... It ended unexpectedly, and the plot ended like this...
This is the worst book I've ever read [Joker]
Is it over? I didn't see the cover. I really didn't know he was finished. How could he be finished? How could he fail? Help, can he simply write about the follow-up development? What happened to this author in reality? Why didn't you say anything?
I don't understand this ending. . . This is too hasty!
