On a mountain road at dawn, twelve-year-old Chen Si struggles along with his four-year-old sister on his back. In a dilapidated classroom, he listens to lessons while teaching her to read. He secretly changed her name to "Chen Ye": their father had wanted to use the "Ye" in "wild child," but he stubbornly wrote "Ye," meaning "also." This naturally gifted girl, who never forgets anything she sees, carries all her hopes for the world in a schoolbag her brother made from old clothes.
Fifteen years later, a lightning strike sparks a fire at a concert, and Chen Ye makes a name for herself overnight. Faced with a chaotic scene, she calmly issues orders, and her teammates work together seamlessly. The professionalism she displays on a global livestream quickly makes her a sensation online.
From the rescue aboard the Blue Sea cruise ship to overseas special operations, from crisis management at international summits to missions to recover cultural relics, the crisis response team led by Chen Ye is always at the forefront. Every operation is fraught with danger, and every decision is made without hesitation.
She meets Han Yue on a lively night. At a roadside barbecue stall in Shen City, a few drunk men harass Chen Ye and her older sister, Yang Jin, while they are having a late-night snack. Han Yue, then an unknown newcomer, steps in to help, and both sides end up at the police station for mediation.
Two dazzling stars meet beneath the night sky.
Much later, he becomes a top-tier star, and she becomes an elite member of the security services.
In her own way, she is forging a safer path for more people.
I hope you enjoy the story of Chen Ye and Han Yue.
