[Dream of the Red Chamber] Playing Support in Dream of the Red Chamber

Dual transmigration + arts and sciences leads + strengthening the nation through technology + fictional setting

The male lead is an arts student who takes the imperial exams and becomes an official.

The female lead is a science student who conducts research and goes into business.

Facing the possibility of having his whole family arrested and their property confiscated,

Jia Lan thought he was on the road to turning his life around through the imperial exams. If he couldn't help the whole world, he'd at least save himself first.

Then he met Dou Hongyun.

His role suddenly changed from a lone top-lane player to a bottom-lane support.

Content warning: I don't vilify anyone and will try to portray the characters as objectively and fairly as possible.

If you hate the Jia family, Jia Baoyu, the Xue family, or Xue Baochai, you can stop reading.

Though this is an escapist story about turning things around, it takes its time. Jia Lan is very young at first, so the comeback comes later.
