[Fairy-Tale-Inspired BG, Short Story of Around 10,000 Words]
Ming Yuan fell from a cliff. She was going to die.
The night stretched endlessly. A black liquid creature silently appeared nearby, devouring all the flowers and plants around it.
Ming Yuan could only stare blankly as the creature opened a mouth several meters tall and swallowed her whole.
It felt like sinking into a soft sea of cotton, warm and cozy. Was this a hallucination before death?
Later, Ming Yuan learned that she hadn't died, and that it tasted like cotton candy.
"Mu Qi, let's go watch a movie together."
The black liquid creature extended ten tentacles to water the plants, feed the cats and dogs, sweep the floor, tidy the table, make the bed, and do the laundry.
At her words, it retracted its tentacles. Its enormous body slowly shrank, transforming into a man with short chestnut hair. His expressionless face gave her much the same impression as his liquid form: calm, gentle, and placid.
He turned and took a bright yellow dress from the wardrobe, signaling for Ming Yuan to put it on.
"Yuan," he said softly, his eyelashes fluttering faintly as he gazed at her expectantly. He was just like the little, clueless animals he cared for: pure, focused, and earnest.
Ming Yuan found a strange creature from another world at the foot of a cliff. It had come for her.
